I thought I'd comment, after all this time, on the superfluous things in my life, as I have nothing else to occupy my time at the moment. For a while now, I have been working at KFC. At first, it was terrible, but now I sort of like it. I usually close, and when I do, I get all the free, unopened food that I like. So, my refrigerator happens to be heavily stocked with potatoes, mac and cheese, and I believe some green beans. Its pretty good stuff, all told. It sounds pretty stupid, but it is a nice perk. They have me working as a cook. Ironically, I am making slightly more than most people I know, despite working at a fast food restaurant, getting a pittance of $5.50 an hour for my trouble. Between the wages I have earned there and the money I get for grass cutting, I now have enough for an Xbox 360, among other things, should I chose to buy them.
Lately, my brother has been placed into several ridiculous Little League tournaments. I recently found out that the coaches of those teams are putting up at least $ 150 to enter the kids into the tournaments. I mean, jeez, I wish I had a baseball field I could loan it out to the marks. I'd be rich! My brother is really good, so with an extreme amount of luck, maybe one day he will make the majors, and I can retire from whatever loser job I have at the time, live off his money, grow fat, and become a professional bum.
Most of these tournaments are in places roughly an hour away, and they practice all the time for them. The rest of my family also enjoys going to Little League tournament games that my brother is not in, which are the same distance away. Between those two things, and my parents working all the time, I am almost always at home by myself when I am not working, which has been great. It basically dissolves into me listening to a lot of Pink Floyd, and uninhibited television, video game, and computer time. The whole thing does sort of make me feel like a hermit, though. Exciting, huh? Well, that's all I've got, for probably a long time.
